We are very excited to announce that the 2012 WOW Line Dance Spectacular will be held in Taipei, Taiwan. Judy Chen is planning a fantastic trip that will include an optional tour of Taiwan. You will be responsible for your plane ticket to Taiwan (arrive and depart from Taipei). Registration and other information will be posted soon.

The WOW 2012 dance event starts 9/6 (Thursday night) with an open line dance party in the evening. Workshops starts on 9/7 (Friday) and will run through 9/9 (Sunday). We will be organizing entertainment at night for interested participants.

For those dancers who would like to tour Taiwan after the dance event, we are organizing a tour that will run from 9/10 to 9/17 (see details below). If you are interested going on the tour, we need a copy of your passport that shows your name, passport number, expiration date, and birth date so the travel agency can reserve tickets and hotel rooms.

Costs (in USD unless stated, NT$ - Taiwanese Dollar):

  1. International round trip airfare (fly in and out of Taipei (airport code TPE)); if you are going on the tour afterwards, schedule your flight home from the Taipei airport anytime on 9/17.
  2. Hotel fees during the dance weekend from 9/6 - 9/9: From NT$2,450 per night (~ $84.50 USD) - for single occupancy to NT$5,700 per night (~ $196.50 USD) for a 3 bed suite with living room.
  3. 3 day workshop fee (9/6 - 9/9); $200 USD
  4. Personal spending money
  5. Entertainment fee (9/7); (optional, we will schedule evening excursions for thos interested on Friday and Saturday during the dance weekend, detials to be provided)
  6. If attending the tour, it will cost approximately $1,000 USD - less if more people sign up - which includes all sight-seeing fees, bus trips, all meals, and accomidations at 5 star hotels (double occupancy; single room is an extra $325 USD). Tips are not included.
  7. No Visa is needed to visit Taiwan.
